Coorg has been one of the best holidays that I have been to. Coorg is a well known hill station for tourists in Karnataka and also known as Scotland of India. Coorg is known for its beautiful coffee, and cardamom plantations. Coorg is situated 2000 - 3500 ft above sea level and enjoys pleasant weather throughout the year.
We travelled from Mangalore which is about 150 kms , the roads aren't very good but still the shortest way to reach Coorg. On the way we halted at a restaurant and had lovely Mangalorian food , it was just amazing and once our petrol was full we proceeded to Coorg. We reached around 6 at Coorg , we all were tired and just wanted to get refreshed and there was a hot and refreshing tea waiting for us. While having some snacks and tea at the hotel coffee shop we were just looking around and the planation view just took away all our tiredness more that the tea J. We just relaxed that evening and had a lavish dinner which made us feel like a king.
Next 2 days we tightened our socks and went for sightseeing. We could do only few sightseeings like the Abby Falls, Raja Seat , Musical fountain, Dubare Elephant camp but the best was the Dubare Elephant camp where we watched elephants bathing and feeding, it is one of the experience. There is more than what we did as we had limited time in hand couldn't cover all the sightseeing / activities but one can stay at Coorg for 3 or more nights and cover the entire Coorg area and yes for people who are more adventurous there is lot of activities that one can look at like trekking, spice plantation visit, birdwatching, angling, white water rafting , rock climbing, cycling and many more.
Me and my family wished this trip would never get over but every good thing has to come to an end and we had to return back L but surely will visit whenever get a chance. We just stayed there for 2 nights and wished if we could extend it more number of days.
