I just feel so fresh when I think of the experiences I've had in this beautiful place -- MANALI.

It was a trip wit my parents. One could say u can enjoy adventurous trips only when u go wid frnds. But my elderly parents turned in to kids in this trip.

I jus didn't have any idea about this place before I visited. To a south Indian a hill station is always few mountains, tea estates and few view points. But Manali was like an icing on the cake for me as I didn't have a clue about this place and it was fulll of surprise elements.

We had chosen southern travels for our tour from delhi which covered places chandigarh-shimla-kufri-manali-kurukshetra-chandigarh and back to delhi.

The HOT girl of the tour is manali.

After a long travel from shimla to manali by road we reached a nice cozy resort in manali around 7.30 - 8.00 in the nyt. Had nice dinner and slept off immediately.

The first thing anybody would admire about manali is BEAS river. Just stop by anywhere on the road and this river keeps following u. Its amazing and so refreshing.

Next day was little lazy going for shopping in the close by places and jus relaxing at the resort. For girls who love salwars manali has got spl collections. Heads up fathers/husbands :)

They let us free to do adventure sports in a beautiful place called solaang valley.

What not in this place. bungee jumping to furious horse riding to archery to para gliding to everything.

I did the horse riding and tried my luck with the para gliding. But gliding mission cudn't be accomplished as the wind directions weren't favourable. My parents definitely thanked God Wind. :P

Next day we were advised to get ready early in the morning and we were put in grp of 8-9 ppl in a zeep all set for Rohtang pass. Everyone had tht excitement of seeing snow for the first time. Before we started we could see snow jus covering all the mountains like a huge vannila ice cream through our bed side windows. We couldn't wait to touch feel and play in snow.

On our way we went to Hidimbi temple (Roja movie was shot) and another hanuman temple where there was a hot water spring. Then the long journey of abt 2 hrs started. We had to hire some clothing and boots to protect us from the extremely cold temperature and Finally we reached our destination.

The oxygen levels were low at that place and we were advised about it earlier as well. White snow everywhere.. Man didn't ever know there was heaven in earth and that too in India. It was heavenly. We just started rolling over the snow jumping throwing and all that a small child wud do. After few mins we realized we are getting tired and we need to play it safe. Chillness reached our brains through our feet.

There are some adventure sports out there in Rohtang pass. I jus tried  a slide from the top sitting on a tyre.

Elderly ppl out there, needn't worry!! not able to climb not able to sit? Relax u have this small twin carts where u can sit and the local ppl pushing it for u and will take you around.

You also get walking sticks to avoid slippery falls. At some point of time u realize u need to get that warmth inside ur body and immd comes the himachal girls with hot hot chaai. Dont miss the chaai. It'll help u spend more time.

We were lucky enough to witness the snow fall. After lot of smashing and dashing for 2 to 2.5 hrs finally you have to force yourselves to leave this place taking an oath that u wud re visit again.

The rest of the day was rest day.

Next day head back to chandigarh but the most amazing thing was still in stock for us. Yes, River rafting. On the way back we stopped by a place. We were all given life jackets and helmets. I was jus thinking wat big thing. this is gonna be as we only know boating in south India and never heard of anything like rafting.

U have experienced captains and assistants with u in the rafting. 8-10 ppl sit in a boat jus holding a small rope. U cant imagine the current and coldness of the water. An out of the world experience for arounf 15-20 mins where u jus glide through the rapids for a few kms. Scary rocks come in between. Rafting was little dangerous and I advise ppl to be safe while doing this. You ll be completely drenched and shivering when u finish the rafting.

Finally its all over in manali and as u come down the hill the traces of river is lost and u get the very feeling of going back to it again.

I ve shared the pics and experiences of this trip soonafter we were back from it and many of my frnds and realtives made this their HoneyMoon spot!! :)

I ll definitely go back to manali one day to refresh my experience and feel heaven once again. :)
