Paradip


Overview

Paradip is one of the twelve major ports of India and is located in the state of Orissa.Located on the eastern coast of Orissa, Paradip is 125 km east of the state capital, Bhubaneswar and 94 km east of Cuttack .Paradip offers a great view of the Bay of Bengal and also miles and miles of pristine, untouched beaches.

The Gahirmatha Beach in Paradip is known for it's sea turtles and water monitor lizards, as well as rare white crocodiles. It is also a park for deer and migratory birds. The Bhitarkanika National Park, sprawled over 367 sq km, has a variety of animals in its mangrove forests criss-crossed by rivers and creeks. It is also a park for deer and migratory birds. One can also see 10th-11th century temples, sculptures, mud-forts and pottery.
