Singinawa Jungle Lodge offers a unique opportunity to learn about the tiger and other endangered wildlife whilst experiencing grass root level conservation work with the Singinawa Foundation. Singinawa, one of India's award winning premier eco-lodges, is recognized as one of the finest destinations for personalized, experiential wildlife holidays.
The Lodge, set in an embrace of trees, is a stately stone building with whimsical and eclectic elements of gond art and delightful hand painted walls with landscapes of Kanha in the formal dining areas. The Lodge contains a lounge - the Watering Hole, a choice of dining venues - the Lair and Bhaat Kholi, a souvenir shop (the Dukaan), the kitchens and offices
Half a dozen elegant stone and slate cottages with live fire places, and hand painted art are set on either side of the lodge in serene, undisturbed sal forests. Adjacent sprawling maidans (grasslands) are home to several hundred cheetal deer often seen grazing around the lodge. Over 170 species of birds have been identified on the grounds and many can be seen from the private patios of every cottage. Singinawa is in itself a regularly visited refuge for much of Kanha's wildlife as it merges with the cast Buffer zone jungles to the east while the Tannaur River protects and beautifies its western limits with a perennial flow of water. Two cottages and the Lodge have barrier free access
The reputation of Singinawa for fine dining is lauded far and wide for its originality and delicious content. We are blessed with a team of chefs who take great pride in their precise preparations of every morsel presented before their guests - be it Indian or speciality cuisine. The bakery and kitchen gardens are the sources of organically grown vegetables, and the most exquisite desserts, pastries and homemade breads, amongst many other delicacies. The venues for meals are numerous and always thoroughly enjoyed - whether it is a boma style meal at the Chaugan, a formal meal at the Bhaat Kholi or a bar-be-cue dinner at the Leopard Rock.
