Malhar Machi - Peaceful and Awesome

We visited Malhar Machi on 15th Aug - Independence day, which was also the 3rd anniversary of the resort. Malhar Machi is a special gateway for people to go away for the weekend. We had booked Premium and Maharaja Room, (2 months in advance as it is that booked) which gave us the feel of different views from each room. Both the rooms were excellent and wonderful - simply decorated and elegant with not a single rain leak.

We greeted by the very polite and courteous staff at the time of check in.

Malhar Machi becomes fantastic during rains, with lush greenery everywhere and very, very pleasant weather. Maharaja Room has the most awesome lake view. Felt like the clouds were just on the lake... Premium room had entry to the lawn area and we can sit at veranda and enjoy the monsoon and click beautiful pics...

Tata Sky was not working in both the rooms, but the service technician went all out to ensure that we did not get inconvenience and ensured that the service got resumed ASAP...

Food was just fantastic... We had informed of our requirement of Jain food for my parents beforehand. and to our delight, wonderful Jain food was prepared without any delay. the tiranga desert was truly mouthwatering... Evening Hi tea was also a delight...Dinner had different cuisines and there was a 3rd anniversary celebration with cake cutting during dinner...

No outsiders are allowed, only resident guests...making the resort very exclusive

We were shown the gardens where during season, one can pluck strawberries and Jamuns... there were banana plantations in this season and the resort manager shared a bunch of bananas with us...

The Spa facility is also good (Enjoyed a foot Spa), though I felt that it is a bit overpriced...

We had booked the resort for just a day, and then had decided to continue our weekend in Lonavala... however, at the end of our stay; we felt a two night stay minimum is a must for all to soak in the atmosphere.especially when you are driving in from Mumbai

Overall, a fantastic stay...definitely worth a repeat.
