Aspects of Shiva - Pashupati
Brahma thanked Shiva for restraining him and thus saving the cosmic order from complete chaos. As a sign of gratitude he made Shiva Pashupati, the lord of beasts. Shiva thus controls our beastly passions. He also gave Shiva a mighty bull, Nandi, to serve as his vehicle, vahana.
Shiva as Pashupati is worshipped in Kathmandu, Nepal.
